Modern Life Furniture – Delivery & Return Policy
Delivery Schedule
- Deliveries are made Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- 2–3 hour time window will be provided the evening before your delivery.
- Drivers will call 30–60 minutes prior to arrival on the delivery day.
- Delays may occur due to weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or prior delivery complications. Customers will be notified if this occurs.
Delivery Coverage & Fees
- Free delivery within 20 km of our Markham store (GTA)
- Free delivery & professional setup for orders $999+ CAD
- $99 delivery fee for orders under $999 CAD
- Beyond 20 km: contact us for special arrangements (fees may apply)
Accepting a Delivery
- A person 18+ years old must be present to sign for the order and guide the delivery crew.
- For condo/apartment deliveries, ensure elevator access is available.
- All balances must be paid in full at least 2 days before delivery via in-store payment or e-transfer to modernlifehome@gmail.com (include invoice number).
- No Cash On Delivery orders are accepted.
Preparing for Delivery
- Ensure driveways, walkways, and indoor pathways are clear of obstacles, snow, or ice.
- Confirm furniture will fit through entrances, staircases, and elevators before ordering.
- We are not responsible if items cannot be delivered due to size restrictions.
- Modern Life Furniture is not liable for property damage during delivery.
Order Pickups
- Bring sales receipt and photo ID when picking up merchandise.
- Merchandise may be in cartons and require assembly.
- Modern Life Furniture representatives will assist with loading merchandise into your vehicle; however, customers are responsible for securing items for safe transport.
- Damage occurring during transit is not covered under warranty or eligible for return.
Damaged Products
- For concealed damage on pickups, contact our service department within 3 days of receipt.
- We will arrange for repair or replacement when possible.
- Picked-up items must be returned by the customer.
- We are not responsible for damages caused by third-party delivery services.
No Refund Policy
At Modern Life Furniture, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns on any purchases. This policy ensures that every customer receives brand-new, unused furniture and home goods.
Once merchandise has been delivered or picked up, it is considered accepted in its current condition. For this reason, we strongly encourage customers to carefully inspect their selections in-store or upon delivery before signing for their order.
This policy applies to all products, including floor models, clearance items, and special-order merchandise.
If a product is damaged upon delivery or pickup, our team will assess the issue and, when possible, arrange for repair or replacement in accordance with our service policy. Damages caused after delivery or pickup are not covered.
